This has been this way for many years, and unfortunately no one 
did anything about it early on.  The Python Software Foundation 
has looked into options for this recent, but there is no 
trademark violation (different domain of business) so we have 
very little leverage other than trying to buy the domain.

Lack of a consent page may be something we could use -- not to 
get the domain but perhaps we can ask them to add one here.  I'll
bring this up to the board of directors.

For now, in any teacher's guide that goes with a textbook, it 
would probably make sense to strongly encourage blocking 
python.com or even redirecting it to python.org in the context of 
the classroom.  Of course we can't do anything about access that 
might happen at home, unless we distribute a cross-platform virus 
with the Python install that redirects python.com to python.org.

Thanks for noting the lack of consent page.  I'll see if we have 
any chance of getting them to add one.
