I've added some general notes at the top.  This includes a link 
to http://wingware.com/python where in the past I tried to 
enumerate the key strengths that seems to draw people to Python.  
Note the list focuses on kinds of things you can build with 
Python rather than abstractions like language design.

I've added a few.  I'll also try to add to this over time based 
on what pops up on my Google news alert for Python (other than 
the usual stories about alligators swallowing Pythons and vice 
versa ;-).
