I'll take care of updating the "Latest release" info in the Wikipedia
article when it comes out.

Do we have some mechanism for letting OS vendors (Linux distros, various
BSDs, Apple, etc) who package Python with their OS's know that there's a
new release available? Do we have any mechanism to make it easier for
them to keep what they ship current?

Does our press release list include tech writers for mainstream
publications such as David Pogue (NY Times) and Walt Mossberg (Wall St.
Journal)?

I'd include places that do professional training like
